Our work in Central African Republic
CAR faces severe political instability, widespread displacement, and acute humanitarian needs. The presence of thousands of Sudanese refugees, as well as displaced and returning Central Africans, reflects the complex dynamics in the country, with food insecurity, inadequate healthcare, and limited essential services worsening conditions.
JRS supports communities in Bangui, focusing on education, social cohesion, reconciliation, and interreligious dialogue. In collaboration with UNICEF, ECW, and other partners, JRS provides education and livelihood support to conflict-affected children and communities in the Haut Kotto and Ouaka regions.
