El JRS Portugal comenzó a trabajar en 1992 y se ha centrado en ofrecer diferentes servicios a migrantes forzosos: apoyo social, psicológico, médico, jurídico, integración profesional, cursos de portugués y alojamiento para inmigrantes sin hogar. El JRS Portugal también acompaña a los migrantes detenidos (Unidad de Vivienda de Santo António).
