Our work in Syria
Syria grapples with an acute humanitarian crisis, where challenges have reached unprecedented levels.
Economic woes persist, marked by rampant inflation, soaring unemployment, and crumbling infrastructure. The prolonged conflict since 2011 has caused catastrophic damage, disrupting trade, and destroying vital infrastructure, including healthcare systems.
Additionally, sanctions imposed by multiple nations and instability in the region have further compounded these hardships.
Despite the adversity, JRS Syria tirelessly operates in government-controlled areas in Damascus, Aleppo, and Homs, offering emergency assistance, educational activities, mental health and psychosocial support, and healthcare services.
