Our shared humanity

We invite you to look beyond the labels that divide us and reconnect with our shared humanity.
The labels refugee and migrant are often linked to stereotypes that create divisions in our communities. But there is so much more that unites us than separates us.
At JRS, as we accompany refugees and those forced to flee their homes, we witness constant examples of how much we have in common.
In a world increasingly fuelled by hate and division, we are choosing to focus on the things that unite us. By sharing the powerful stories of those with whom we walk, we invite you to look beyond the labels and reconnect with our shared humanity.
Let’s start viewing refugees and migrants as our brothers and sisters, not as strangers to be feared!
