Annual Report 2024
01 July 2025|Annual Report

In 2024, JRS reached 1,154,535 forcibly displaced people in 58 countries, providing education, economic inclusion and livelihoods, advocacy, protection, mental health and psychosocial support, and reconciliation services.
In a year that was underscored by conflicts that showed no sign of abating and continued to drive record levels of displacement – from South Sudan to Ukraine, from Myanmar and Gaza to Afghanistan – our work remained founded on mutual care and grounded in the fundamental dignity of the human person.
It is only by recognising the centrality of human dignity that we can bring about meaningful change. We learn this lesson every day from those we accompany – from Cecillia, a young woman in a Kenyan refugee camp who, through sustained support, is pursuing her dream of becoming her community’s first female surgeon; and from the refugees on the Colombia-Venezuela border who pursue justice and embrace reconciliation and peace amid violence.
